Operational and proximity-based management
The Group's Human Resources policy is based on decentralisation, personal initiative and team responsibility. This principle is concretely applied in our TCS method (Total Customer and Employee Satisfaction), a set of guidelines applicable to the entire Geodis France group. A natural extension to this proximity management is the affirmation of internal promotions and the Group's formal commitment to its employees to give preference to their professional mobility, for people equivalent levels of expertise. The job exchange, accessible via the Group's intranet, makes this approach fully transparent as it concerns all positions in the French subsidiaries.
Sharing experience and training
Our training programmes develop both the individual and collective fulfillment of our employees. They are designed to promote personal development in order to ensure the capacity for mobility and adaptation that are vital to the career advancement of all employees in today's fast-changing environment. They are also intended to encourage teamwork by controlling the information and communications systems as well as the capability to learn and transmit knowledge. In 2002, trainees represented approximately one-third of Geodis employees in France.
