| | GEODIS LOGISTICS WINS TAPA CERTIFICATIONGeodis Logistics, the Geodis Group's Logistics Division, has just received level A TAPA certification for the secure management system of high added-value products implemented on its Dublin site in Ireland. May 2009 - Following an audit conducted by independent organization Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance (LRQA), Geodis Logistics' Irish site in Dublin has just received the highly-prized TAPA certification (Technology Asset Protection Association), level A. During this audit, all of the operational processes implemented on the Dublin site for secure handing of high added-value products underwent careful analysis conducted in accordance with FSR requirements (Freight Security Requirement). The products concerned by these security measures are entrusted to Geodis Logistics by customers from the high-tech industry. For the minimum requirement of 60% necessary to achieve the highest level - A - the items relating to access controls received a score of 100%, while those relating to high-value product dock, warehousing and storage installations and surveillance and alarm systems were awarded 94%. TAPA, founded in the United States in 1997 and expanded to Europe in 1999, is an association bringing together security professionals and the largest high-technology multinationals. Its aim is to confront the increasing threats to security affecting the supply chain for high added-value products and establish the standards to be implemented in order to be protected against these threats.
