Geodis Logistics Ireland wins the prestigious Irish Export Associations Award for "Logistics Company of the Year"

On Wednesday night, 5th of November in O'Reilly Hall in UCD, Geodis Logistics Ireland were announced the proud winners of the Irish Export Associations Award for "Logistics Company of the Year".

The Logistics Company of the Year Award 2008 is sponsored by Dublin Port Company and presented by An Taoiseach Brian Cowen. This award recognises the importance of logistics and supply chain management companies to the exporting effort of firms trading internationally from Ireland. Geodis Ireland was recognised for its effective and efficient logistics and supply chain management which enables its clients to compete in overseas markets.

DYNAMISM AND GROWTH

Mr Pierre Blayau convened today Geodis' Board of Directors in order to provide its members with the main terms and conditions of the tender offer project for the shares of Geodis, which SNCF Participations contemplates to launch by the end of April 2008. SNCF Participations has been for many years Geodis' main shareholder, and currently holds 42.37% of its share capital. The offer would be made at a price of €135 per share.

xpedx and Geodis, two major providers of third party logistics services, today announced they have formed a global strategic alliance.
